Do I need planning permission for a Garden Gym?
Generally speaking the answer is no, you don’t need planning permission to build a Garden Gym. We can build a Garden Gym up to 30 square meters and 2.5m in height as long as all of the necessary build boxes are ticked, the main one being fire precaution if closer than 2m to a boundary. Our designs take this into account and because we can pre build walls on site if required we can even get as close as 100mm, meaning no Lost garden space.
That said, most workouts tend to involve over the head exercises and we always recommend if possible going taller externally to 2.8m. This allows for a 2.4m floor to ceiling height internally. In this situation the Garden Room would require planning but for just £650 plus vat we can handle the complete service for our clients.

How much does it cost to build a Garden Gym?
