Ark Design Build have recently finished this stunning annex and garden office in Crowborough, East Sussex. The studio was over the size allowed under permitted development and so a full planning application was required.
With two of our teams covering this area we have also made several garden rooms, garden gyms and outside living spaces in Crowborough, Rotherfield, Uckfield, Mayfield and Buxted.
The annex space features duel entry sliding doors into both a large living area and kitchen plus a separate bedroom and en-suite.
The kitchen was built on an angled wall so that our clients were able to utilise the full space available to them with an awkward garden shape. A functional utility space conceals a 90 litre water cylinder and electrical consumer unit.
As with any Ark Design studio this was a full turn key project. Fully insulated, we handle all aspects from planning permission, foundations and electrical connections all the way to the final brush stroke of paint on the wall. We handed the keys over to our clients leaving them nothing to do but enjoy their new space.
In total this garden studio in Crowborough took our team less than 5 weeks to complete. We placed the studio on sturdy steel foundations or groundscrews used throughout our industry. These robust foundations not only give the studio strength but allow a constant airflow below giving the space the longest possible life span. Coupled with am Epdm one piece rubber roof on top there is no reason why a garden studio, garden office or garden gym should not surpass a 50 year life if cared for correctly.
