Many of our garden gyms in Kent take advantage of our planning application service. With this in mind, you can gain some extra internal height within your studio.
Permitted development will allow your garden gym to have an external height of 2.5 meters. For many this is just fine, but for just £650 plus vat we offer the full application for a studio up to 3 meters tall externally. This means you will be able to do more overhead exercises than in a standard permitted development garden gym space. Ark Design Build have a 100% success rate for garden gym planning permission applications.
For all garden gyms we ensure the base is re-enforced and can take the strains heavy machinery and usage will require. Many products on the market are far too light weight for this and it should be a consideration for anyone looking at a garden or home gym.
Internal finish can also be customised. As standard the walls will be plastered and painted, no cheap melamine panels on show. We can also look at more bespoke options like ply walls or even internal cladding.
As standard all of our studios will have an electric heater installed but air conditioning is also something to consider as keeping cool in the summer months is critical when training hard. The units also serve as a heat source for the winter. This creates a truly 24/7 usable space whatever the weather.
External clading options of either a popular heat treated Thermowood or a more contemporary Western Red Cedar finish. We can also finish the Thermowood in any colour using modern paint finishes, that will give your home gym a box fresh feel all year around.
Glazing options are limitless but our design team will always start simple with door and window options to allow good ventilation throughout your space. Triple slider or the ever popular bifolding doors will really give your space a wow factor.
